Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox on the Outs?

It hasn't been her day, her week, her month, or even her year -- but Courteney Cox can always count on Jennifer Aniston, right? We don't want to believe that the Friends theme song would lie to us! But Us Weekly claims that the former costars have had a falling-out. What could possibly come between them?

Supposedly: David Arquette. But no, not in that way! According to the magazine, the longtime friends are experiencing "tension" because Aniston doesn't like the way Cox is handling her trial separation.

"Jen thinks Courteney is acting callous by running around with this guy but refusing to file divorce papers. Like she's playing mind games with David," says a source. The magazine doesn't specify who "this guy" is, but Cox has been seen frequently in the company of Cougar Town costars Josh Hopkins and Brian Van Holt.

Okay, so why would Aniston care so much about whether Cox has filed her divorce papers? Allegedly, Aniston is having flashbacks to when Brad Pitt was stringing her along as he flirted up a storm with Angelina Jolie. "She hates watching Courteney do the same thing," says the source.

If this is true, it's super sad, since Cox and Aniston have been through so much together. But we're skeptical. Just because they haven't been photographed together lately doesn't mean they're not speaking! After all, they both seem a little busy, what with Cox's TV show and Aniston's film career. And we don't really buy it that a smart, successful lady like Aniston is still traumatized all these years later by Brad leaving her for Angie.

Thankfully, there's another story in People that suggests that Aniston and Cox are still tight. According to their source, Aniston threw a little soiree on May 27 to introduce her best friends, including Chelsea Handler and you-know-who (hint: her name begins with Courteney and ends with Cox, to her rumored new boyfriend Justin Theroux. See? She'll be there for Courtney, 'cuz Courteney's there for her, too. Now could somebody please get the Friends song out of our head?
