Hayden Panettiere & Mark Sanchez Dating?

Hayden Panettiere's Heroes days are behind her -- but her choice of men makes us think that she still likes being a cheerleader!

Less than three weeks after announcing her breakup with Ukrainian boxing champ Wladmir Klitschko, the actress has been linked to a new athlete: New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez. The 21-year-old Scream 4 actress and handsome 24-year-old football player were caught sharing a meal at an In-n-Out Burger in Malibu, Calif., this weekend. A source tells People they've been hanging out for months now. Could that be romance in the air at In-n-Out Burger?

Nope, sorry -- it's just the smell of french fries.

"They're not dating at all," says one insider. "They're really just friends."

Another source corroborates that the two are just pals, and we must note that they weren't alone on their burger outing; they were actually in a group of friends. But we wonder if Panettiere is just being cautious; after all, Sanchez caused a minor scandal earlier this year when he allegedly hooked up with a high school girl he met at a club. (The girl was 17, which would make it legal -- but still a little icky.) Sanchez never issued a comment on the girl's claim.

Regardless of whether they're dating, Sanchez actually has two things in common with Panettiere's last boyfriend: They're both professional athletes, and they're both over six feet tall! At 6-foot-2, Sanchez is actually a tad shorter than Klitschko, who's a whopping 6-foot-6. Considering that Panettiere is merely 5-foot-2, we think it's pretty cute that she likes her men super-sized!
